Sofie Dieu

Born in France, Sofie Dieu is a culturally and linguistically diverse artist.

In 2017, her work was shown during Vivid Sydney. She was recently invited to take part in the 'Great Alpine Artist in Residence' program in Victoria. As a result, she showcased her project Calling for Rain in a solo show at the East Gippsland Art Gallery from March - April 2018.

In 2018 Sofie and her partner are travelling along the East Coast of Australia. Eventually heading north-west towards the Top End, Sofie will spend six months on the road, teaching her chinese-inspired ink painting techniques and exploring inner and outer landscapes on her journey. We will follow her footsteps along our rugged and picturesque coast and dive deep with her in a quest for finding her place in this ancient land.

Yoga helps create Freedom from Sex Slavery

Transparency TV has partnered with Art to Healing to highlight the incredible freedom that comes from releasing women from the bonds and trauma of sex slavery.

In order to support the Womens' Wellness Programs offered in Nepal and beyond, funds are being raised through Art to Healing's Yoga for Freedom events and other projects, to bring awareness to those of us that can do something to help prevent this situation continuing as well as provide healing and education to the women and girls who have suffered abuse as part of Sex Slavery industry as well as archaic sexism within their own communities. We feel honoured to be a part of the cycle that is providing a solution for this travesty that is still endemic within so many cultures on our planet.
